got a Pella visit and they would use the existing frame to install new vinyl/fiberglass windows… Have booked a local Milgard rep to make site visit and he says they will fit the windows to their individual openings and not use any part of the old windows… sounds logical to me.. question:: is Milgard a good product? am looking at both their vinyl and fiberglass lines. Thanks, Tuna

I've installed the pella impervia product and like 'em. They're light, rigid and square. They are also actually (despite their reputation) less expensive than the milgard.
And, I'll install the Milgard on my next job, ironically, to match the existing house.
Therefore don't have an opinion yet.
