Can anyone recommend a gap/crack/nail hole filler for mdf? Something I can apply and sand?
Thanks, Dennis

Like Bondo, but a little finer texture. Spreads smooth and air bubble free. Body shop supply is where you'll find it.

Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end.
For small gaps (like inside miters), I use caulk. For nail holes, I use lightweight spackle.
body shop suppliers carry something referred to as glazing putty. It comes in a tube, is a one-part filler that dries quick, doesn't raise the grain, and doesn't shrink very much. It get's harder to sand the longer it dries however. I try to sand it within the hour.
mh ready patch.
dries very hard, sands, will hold up better than lightweight spackle, and paints well. --you'll find it at good contractor paint places, home depot, etc.
Bondo, but also like Dynapatch for skimming.
I have been using premixed joint compound, like drywallers use. works fantastic.
