Hello All –
I am installing a french drain. I am going to line it with filter fabric, but I can’t find it at the local Home Despot.
Does it go by another name? Is landscaping fabric the same thing?
Thanks in advance,
JPS

No reason you can't use landscaping fabric. I used the light gray non-woven fabric from HD for my footing drains around my house. The purpose of it is to prevent silt and fines from coming through, and that will work well enough.
Its probably considered a geotextile, but I doubt that will help in a search at HD. At Lowes, I've found it in the same section with the drain pipe. Find where they have the black coils of drain... or the PVC with all the holes cut in it : )
The only stuff I've used comes in a roll and goes on like a sock. Trim it off to length.
