Is there a plumber in the house? I’ve got a 1 hp jet pump pushing rusty water from an 80 ft well into about a 150 gallon galvanized pressure tank. There is a lot of loose sediment in the tank, but the tank is in good shape. Since the thing is for agricultural use only, I don’t want to drill a new well or invest petrodollars in a fix. Can I flush the crud from the pressure tank and put a heavy duty filter on the inlet side to keep it from building up again? Do filters have to be on the outlet side only…? The local guys only seem to know about those blue bladder tanks, not monsters like mine.
