the impact driver, hammer drill, Circular saw, and light for $599. i would think about that if you can't find a better price on the impact driver. i'll try to get you a link.
No, this is an Impact AND a hammer drill in the same body. I dont want all the other goodies.
Have you tried it yet? I would like to get one too but I was wondering how it is. Is it really worth the price?
Headstrong, I'll take on anyone!
Nope. No one has one in stock. I really would like it for hanging gutter and down spouts ( a LARGE part of my work) cuz, I may need a 1/4" hex on impact to hang gutter brackets, an 1/8th drill bit ( I use a hex shank in the 14.v impact) to install rivets, then a hammer drill to drill for strap tapcons, then a #2 phillips for the tap cons.
I now use just the impact and hammer drill, but if I can carry just one drill body for all the steps, I am less likely to drop one on somebody. And my impact is Makita, my hammerdrill is Dewalt, fewer batts to keep charged as well.
I don't mind dropping the cash if it makes things go a bit faster, I don't always enjoy being up on a 40' ladder hanging downspout and if I can get down faster, all the more better.
If you can hold off a bit, Mak is usually at the JLC Live shows, and I would guess they might have the driver in Providence in three weeks. I'll test it out and let you know how it is, if you can't make it ; )
They might or might not have it discounted at the shows, if they have it at all.

It says they're in stock at Tool King. But if not, Toolbarn has them and they will price match. I ordered my Makita set through them a couple of months ago. Can't speak for this all in one version, but I've been very happy with the individual LXT tools.http://www.toolbarn.com/product/makita/BTP140/?ref=baseTua res agitur, paries cum proximus ardet ~ Horace
Yup. My buddy has the new impact, it rocks.
By the way, I've been meaning to ask if you or Grant had a hand in that copper house in Lexington that I keep seeing in the news.Tua res agitur, paries cum proximus ardet ~ Horace
What news? We do a lot of the work in Lex, but not all of it, we do have some competition.
Find more details and I can verify.

I bid on it as a joint venture with a competitor ( I was gonna fab it and he was gonna install ), but we didn't get it and I'm glad. The design was bad and what wasn't bad was vague. I was concerned about being able to replace a panel that got damaged down low without having to take off the whole side. Sure enough, before it was even finished, it got banged with a lift and they had to replace one whole side because of a dent 4' off the ground.

I've never seen it, I gotta get out more.
It's on Georgetown St, right at the end of Ballard St. At the other end of Ballard (corner of Jefferson) is where Stella's Deli is. I can't believe it sold for 575K. The framing labor was free - archy students. We pulled out when we found out we were bidding against at least 6 others after 3 plan revisions and we still had to guess at a lot of the details.http://logancustomcopper.com

Gotcha, I anm out the door here in about 5 mins. I gotta find my ladderjacks and a walkboard.
We're planning on setting up and then headed to you to get the materials when the trailer is unloaded. Unless you want to bring it all over. We also have a lot crap for cleanup at Hussy.
Ouch. Yes, that seems like a project best viewed from the rearview mirror. It's kind of funny to me though that it's been talked up so much as this visionary project, when their vision didn't extend so far as to see their own poor design and application. Oh well.Best,

>>>>>>>>>it's been talked up so much as this visionary projectIt always seems like these type things swing so far one way as to make them impracticle. The design was all about being green in the construction stage, but little or no thought was put into how to maintain it. Yeah, the copper that they had to replace could be recycled, but there's energy burden to that and lots of labor cost to do it. http://logancustomcopper.com
