Thought y’all might enjoy these.
A relative of mine is swapping some labor with me. I agreed to do some trim in his kitchen in return for some work on one of my tractors. (He’s a mechanic)
Not everybody can get nice, tight trim joints like these, huh ??? I think this is better ‘n most of you so-called “pro” trimmers do.

O.K., I’m just pulling your leg. When I got to the house, I was checking it out. They hired a carpenter to remodel their bathroom, and this is the trim around the window that the guy did.
Aside from the fact that the wide part of the trim is towards the INSIDE of the window, the joints are laughable. I’d be ashamed to do anything like this in ANYBODY’s house, much less bill them for it.
Just couldn’t resist taking a pic and posting it…
I wish you’d keep my hands to yourself.

I was thinking heneeded to change his hack saw blade
Close enough, it ain't no piano.
Beat it to fit / Paint it to match
We always would leave a few Business Cards in them open miters, especially if that miter was in an expensive Home!
The rule of thumb is for every ten dollar bill you can get to stick in an open miter is how much you deduct from his bill
Looks like a $60 miter
that trim looked to be glued tight at some point ....
there's tear out "inside" the joint.
Bet it was jacked when someone put in that replacement window.

Oh I dunno...it has that "down home" charm about it. I have better luck with my joints when I change the blade in the sawzall myself. Tell him to try that.
It looks like he spent more for caulk than he did for the trim.
