By this time tomorrow, I will have a brandy new Pasload Trimpulse...thanks to a Lowes gift card from a buddy.

I have irriatable Vowel syndrome.
Finish nailers can shoot either 15 ga, 16 ga, or 18 ga.
Do you know which size would be best for your needs?
Double firing can be a problem with framing nailers; but I have never had this problem with any of the finish nailers I have used.
Brands? I prefer either Hitachi or Max, but Bostich nailers get high marks from their users too (but they require use of their proprietary nails). Senco used to be the benchmark for nail guns of any type, but personally, I don't think that is any longer the case.

I have a Paslode Trimpulse 16 ga. that gets a lot of use,
but I really like my new Hitachi 15 ga. pneumatic. Plenty of power, lightweight, and a neat blow gun feature for dusting off surfaces.
I've been trimming houses and installing kitchens for ten years now. Still have the first senco sfn 40 oiless finish nailer - 15 ga angled. shoots through dense mahogany, ipe. has adjustable depth, will run at 120 psi, easy to clear jambs, pretty indestructable. easy to do the gasket re-builds as well.
It's a pricy gun but worth it I think.

I love my Bostitch 62FNK bec it's so incredibly lightweight, but really tough. It's a 15 ga. nailer, angled magazine. They run about $200 on Amazon, but there's a near-new one on Ebay for $160 BIN at this time.
i use the dewalt cordless nailer (angled). doesnt stink like the paslodes and you dont have to carry a compressor or cords anywhere. really simple... makita 18v ion in the works for next year...
I definately like my Bostitch, among other reasons it is the only one (?) with multiple rubber no-mar tips.
However, you did mention no double-fire. I've never had an accidental double-fire, but all of the bostitchs allow you to shoot a second nail if you do NOT reset the safety head and DO resqueeze the trigger.
