I’m applying Diamond finish coat plaster over a bonding agent. When the plaster darkens I have been going over it with a bit of water and trowel, but I don’t understand how to finally get rid of the trowel marks, fill voids or finish corners.
Can anyone help with some pointers?

don't leave voids when you trowel it on
If you are leaving trowel marks, you are polishing it down too soon, or have uneven base, or a bad trowel, or the wrong angle of attack
