I recently installed some prefab concrete pillars. In the process a few areas were damaged and I would like to fix them. These are cast units with a very smooth though pocked surface and I, not being especially familiar with finishing concrete in this way, would like to know if anyone is. (The areas to be repaired are approximately 4″ square each, and on a vertical surface, i.e. the side of the columns.) Are there special grinding tools or similar, or a particular mix that’s recommended, etc.
Thanks for all ideas and info.

I'll bet the manufacturer has the answer. Got his phone number?
There are mixes just for this.
One is named "Feather Finish", another is "Pavecrete"
Know that the color will not match the original color.

Thanks to all, I'll give the manufacturer a call and/ or look for the referenced products.

The key is going to be to match the color and texture of the column. Hopefully the mfgr will have some patching compound."Put your creed in your deed." Emerson
