Hi all,
Gonna be replacing some T&G porch flooring. I was wondering whether or not I’ll be needing to pre-drill for the nails. Or do I not need to worry about spliting?
Thanks.

Nails are angled thru the tongue using any method you choose. Flooring nailer works great, nail gun works alright, hand nailing is much slower. In all cases, no predrilling is required.
Good Luck
if you nail the ends wher 2 boards meet you will have to drill.
but I just finished a Monogamy porch floor and I left the ends un-nailed and relied on the previous and next course to hold the butts.
We always get it right!!!
