Wood (I assume) or steel?
When you say "treat" I assume you want to spray or brush something on the surface of the truss and not enclose the area with soffits and/or fascia constructed of fire resistant materials such as Hardie Soffit. There are a number of fire retardant paints on the market, but most of them are for interior applications.
