I have added on to my garage for a workshop. In doing so I enclosed an existing house window that now looks out to my shop. The window is in the laundry room. The building inspector said that I either needed to get rid of the window or replace it with a 1 hour fire rated window. Since the extra light into the house is nice, I am thinking of opting for the window.
Who manufactures fire rated windows that can be used in residential applications.
Are they real ‘commercial’ looking?
Any help greatly appreciated.

I think a big part of it is wired glass. Might have to have a metal frame also.
