I have newly installed 4×4 wooden fence post that has developed a nasty twist. The twist starts about 3 feet up. I dont want to have to dig it out and replace it if at all possible.
Any advice on how I might be able to straighten it out so the face aligns with all the other posts in the row? I have thought about slicing it vertically two or three times down to the straight section and then gluing and screwing it back together.
Any thoughts or ideas?

Has the fence been built yet? What will hold the post in it's new position? I've never given it thought but I don't think that kind of repair will work. I know it's a drag but you'd probably be better off replacing the post. Maybe fence builders will have experience inthis matter. Best of luck.
If you are sure it's done twisting (i.e. that green wood you planted in the ground is now fully dried out) then you could rebuild the faces.
Find the side you need to be flat to attach your cross planks to. Using a circular saw, cut it so it has a new flat face on that plane. Using that face for your base. make 90 degree cuts to the remaining 3 faces, taking off at least 3/4" of material off each face. Using 1x stock, face the cut sides to build out again to the original 4x4 dimensions. Cap the top somehow to keep water from destroying it from the inside out.
