Hi all —
I’m remdodeling a bathroom on a slab foundation and we’re adding a second sink to the room. The existing drain pipes are all cast iron with hubs. There is currently a 2″ horizontal pipe feeding into a 3″ horizontal pipe. In the original layout, the shower and sink both tied into the 2″ pipe. In our new layout, can the plumber tie both sinks and the shower into that 2″ line or do we need to snap the 3″ line and add a 3x2x3 san-t or wye so the two sinks can use one 2″ pipe and the shower can use a second 2″ pipe?
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

ok
All should be fine, a 2" rain can carry 6dfu, the shower is 2, each lav is 1. So you have 4DFUs into a 6DFU-capacity pipe. I'm not a plumber, but I play one on the internet. Especially when no one else replies.
