OK – leaky basement (telephone tile foundation). Recent new construction adjacent to the leaky area – the telephone tile is no longer an outside wall, but some water still finds a path to and through the TT. Any way to flash the new foundation (6-10″ above grade), either with aluminium flashing or plastic sheeting? I was thinking of using a good heavy plastic sheet, attach to the above-grade foundation with roofing caulk and run it 10-12 feet under the landscaping on a downsloping angle (yes, the landscaping is already angled away from the house – I would angle the plastic at a steeper pitch below grade). Suggestions?
