Hello,
In central NC, most folks flash the band for the brick veneer using a 14 or so inch wide sheet of black plastic. Supposedly, this flashing is to direct the water out the weep holes. The flashing is stapled to the band and covers about 2/3’s of the brick; the regular house wrap overlaps the band/brick flashing by a couple of inches.
What other good methods are there for flashing the band/brick?
BTW, I’m planning to use a 2′ wide band of 1/2″ treated plywood to tie-in the band/floor system with the wall. I’m sure the ACQ will corrode the staples, so I should probably go back and nail the flashing on with some galvanized roofing nails.
Thanks,

I fabricate these type flashings from copper regularly. Also make a lot of flashings for transistions from brick to siding.
Scissors cut paper. Rock breaks scissors. Paper wraps rock.
Greencu's flashing is the the way to go, but if cost is a factor, there is also a peel and stick flashing (like ice shield) made for that application. Your brick supplier and mason should be familiar with it. The plastic is usually torn up enough to nearly useless, unless everyone on the job is exceceptionally carefull.
