Our house has floor board radiators. The release valves have long crusted shut and no longer let the air seep out making it a real pain to fill up the system.
I ran to the plumbing supply store today and they had replacements, alas, they only have the ones with a valve on the side. This means I can’t install them on half the radiator as they were installed where the elbow is right next to the wall.
Before I get out the saw and start putting holes in the wall, I thought I’d check online to see if there are other sources for these. Any idea what they are called? “Radiator valves” seems to define the temperature release valves for steam radiators rather than what these things are (air release valves?)
better yet, anyone have an online source for these? The only plumbing supply in my city that has these only has the side-valve versions.

Thanks! But, alas that's not it either. The ones we have are brass and have a small threaded end (1/4" maybe?) that fits into the elbow of the radiator with a maybe 1" round canister on top. Attached to the cannister is then a small valve for releasing the air. Eventually, I made do with the ones I had. It took a crowbar, but ended up working.
