I have purchased Brazilian Cherry 3 1/4 wide flooring. How long do I have to wait to start installing it? Some say at least a week, some say 3 to 4 days and some have told me as soon as it gets to room temp. Also they have told me to lay out the entire amount of flooring to dry. What is the correct way to do the install?

you might want to ask in breaktime, but I would wait 2 weeks with the wood in the heated space that it will be going. As for laying it out, I think the idea is just to get the air evenly around the wood, you could sticker it in piles. If it is already finished you wouldnt need to wait as long.
Another important question is whether it is solid or engineered. Solid requires longer to acclimate.
I installed about 2000 ft. of Brazilian Cherry ..... the stuff was left to "climatize" for about two weeks and after 2.5 years, the floor looks great!! Straight and flat! Nailing the stuff ain't like pine .... trust me! I would recommend a discussion with the manufacturer before starting regarding choice(s) of fasteners and air pressure settings if using a pneumatic nailer (is there any other "real" choice?). The materials I used were provided by Husky (now Bellawood) and the product and service has always been on the top peg.
Good Luck!!
