Flooring for a three season cottage in Ontario

Im wondering if anyone has any input on what the the best flooring for a cottage is. The cottage will get really cold in the winter (-30) and will only be heated on weekends with a wood stove. We like the idea of 5 mm Vinyl because its easy to clean and wont swell with moisture. Laminent wont work because of moisture reasons. Any ideas?

You are on the right track vinyl/resilient type flooring holds up well I like vinyl plank its available in decent designs and easy to install.
The look you are going for dictates whats best, but vinyl is a good choice. I like rustic cabins, I might use something else myself, like Fir, or pine planks, or maybe rough sawn with some nice rugs, even a rustic looking carpet, but that would be probably last choice for me, but carpet is the most comfortable and may be best for someone else.
There is "cabin grade" hardwood flooring which is a little wild grained with more flaws than usual, but I find the short lengths unappealing, but that would be a good choice too.
You might want to at least briefly consider some sort of indoor-outdoor carpeting.
Hello, we are currently having the same questions. I'm hoping you can tell me what type of flooring you put down and how you're liking it? Thanks!
