flooring stapler – generic or Bostitch?
I have to put down 1200 +/- square feet of 3″ T&G solid maple plank flooring. This won’t be a quick process, I have to stretch the job over several evenings and a weekend or two, so I don’t want to rent one. I am trying to decide if I should buy a decent pneumatic floor stapler (Bostitch) or get an eBay cheapo (or a Grizzly) and hope it works out for one job. The guy at the mill I bought the flooring from, said he’d buy the stapler from me after I was done, I doubt he’d want a generic one. Anybody have experience with cheapy floor staplers? I assume they all use the Bostitch staples.

I have some *very* limited experience with cheap nailers (for that matter, I have very limited experience with real nailers, too)
I'm remodeling my basement, and decided to pick up a HF cheapie framer. It fired almost 500 rounds before it died on me. It was about 50% heavier than my Hitachi, and the balance is just terrible.
I'd be looking for a good used one long before I picked up a new one.
I have a ebay cheepie and it works great. looks like a copy of the bostitch.
