Foan Insullation under Roof decking

Any information or advice on applying a 1″ layer of open cell foam (icynene) to the underside of roof decking for increased insulation and sealing?  Roof is galvalume metal panels installed on 1×4 attached to 3/4 osb decking.  Builing is outside Atlanta, Ga.
