I was about to purchase a Lennox “Complete Heat” system, with the high recovery water heater and heat exchange/air handler, but then wondered if it is really the best way to go. If one part of the system breaks down, then the other doesn’t work either. Most likely, the water heater will go first, then I’m beholden to Lennox for a replacement. Does anyone have any experience with this type of combined heating system? I’ll be heating about 2000 sq.ft. of living space. The furnace is really supplemental to a masonry heater/fireplace, that is until I get to old or lazy to cut and haul firewood. Any thoughts?
