Hello,
We are in the middle of making some changes within our business. We are working with a PR firm and have changed our logo and website. We are also trying to establish new relationships, and cultivate old relationships with past clients.
I am drafting a letter to our past clients and our subcontractors “introducing” our new logo, etc.
My question is if anybody has ever done any of this, do they have any suggestions or ideas of things that have worked for them.
Any help would be appreciated. THANKS!

What area are you?
I worked for an outfit in Northern CA that did the same thing 8 years ago.
It seemed not to have much impact on subs, etc.. except they ribbed him for the colors a little. (supposed to be red but came out more pinkish on vehicle decals)
As far as new clients, it seemed to have an impact on professionalism especially at local trade/expo. Clients seem to mentaly attach logo with product. Your PR/marketing guy can lead you fairly well in the direction you want to go.
There is a lot of truth to finding your target market and aiming for it. Residual from other areas is a bonus.
Truthfully, subs and guy you work with before could care less. Although association through reputation leads to more and possibly better jobs. It may not be apparent to them intially but if their trucks are always on your jobs... it helps them out too.
Personally, I hate mailers so my comments are slighted. But, give your old clients a call, stop by to say hi and see how their new house is ( of course in your company truck LOGO-ed, sporting a carthart shirt LOGO-ed and they will notice) and it also sparks a little respect in that your company is doing well. May even get some leads...
Christmas cards LOGO-ed or some holiday would seem more appropriate and not as stuffy as a letter.
Just saying hi at lumberyards to other guys, subs, builders gets visual recognition with your Logo/product.
Your vehicle is a rolling billboard so customers get used to seeing it and you build reputation by presence.
i.e. ( random white van rolling up the driveway...Who is that??? Brown delivery van, dude in a brown shirt.....oh! its UPS ! get it ?
All my opinions, use em if you like em
