framing a second floor into a ballooned framed wall
I’m a draftsman here in California who is trying to detail the above described condition. If the joist spacing is the same as the wall stud spacing does it suffice to run cripple studs under each joist and block in between or is there something more straightforward like bridging or letting in a ledger at the wall? This is only happening at a specific location in the house over a stairway. The floor is only spanning about 4′. Any help is appreciated.

Any of the above, given that you only have a 4 foot span to support.
