I am wondering whether to buy a clipped head or round head nail gun. Clipped head nail guns hold more nails, which I think is good. However, if the holding strength of the round heads are significantly stronger, then I would not sacrifice quality for comfort. DOES IT REALLY MATTER? IS THERE A SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE??
Thanks,

it's all about the odes in yur area...
what do they say...
full head resist pull thru a fuzz better than clipped head..
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming
WOW!!! What a Ride!
The round head Paslodes are a blend of the best of both worlds. The full head is offset. I have been using a coil nailer until I picked up a couple of Paslode Impulse framers.
Go with a Hitachi NV83A2 coil framer with a dead on tools belt hook. Best gun. If you have to go with a stick nailer, get a round head. Then you don't have to worry about it every failing an inspection.

Around here clipped head is fine and I sure haven't seen any real world improvement in holding power.. in theory sure it's there but try to remove a clipped head hail from something and it can quickly become a major struggle..
It is however a local issue, hold more nails or hold a discussion with a nit picky inspector..
