Folks, I’ve seemed to have misplaced the original packaging for my framing nailer. Last evening I decided to redo a couple of soffits. I tore out the old ones and got ready to frame the new soffits when the nailer jammed while loading nails. Its a Bostitch N80SB-1. Took me a minute of two to unfeed the wired-weld nails that revealed a nail had prematurely come apart from the nail-group.
Lubrication is specified through the air line, but I presume this is if you have an oil-lubricated compressor, which I do not. The online manual says to then induce oil into the air fitting, but it doesn’t say anything about lubricating the feed system (rail), which is where I think the problem was. Any suggestions? There is some very light/mild surface oxidation (rust), but then again I’ve owned this tool for +4 years and have leant it out twice, too.
Suggestions for lubricating the feed-rail?
