Framing nailers:
would appreciate some insight into buying a framing nailer.
light remodeling nothing heavy duty. what degree gun, clipped head or round head, 8 to 10 gauge ? Any info very much appreciated.
Any good online sights to buy from.

Here is one to consider. Cannot comment on its durability, etc., as I don't own one.
But, it's versatility might be good for you, in that with a change of its tip, it can be used to do joist hangers.

Most important though, if you are dealing with codes and enforcement, is whether or not full-heads are required. That can limit your choices.

you can rule out a few nail guns by checking what kind of nails are available in your area .. cheers
Call your building inspector or code department and find out if clipped head are allowed, some places like california they are not legal.
Do a search on this topic, you'll find a ton of posts from the past. I like the full round head 22 degree framers and my two fav's would be the makita an922 and the hitachi nr83a. Some others like the bostitch and max too. Also, those are stick nailers, they make the same nailers as a coil framing nailers too.
