Where my wife works they are having a silent auction fund riser for autism. I suggested she use my services for them. I own a construction/Remodeling company. I suggested the winner gets 8 hours of free labor to do as they please. Has anyone done this before and do you have a certificate I can use. We charge $45.00 per hours with a 3-hour minimum.
Thanks

I've done it a few times.
Most often it was coupled with a lumberyard that donated an entry door and a few times, a storm door. I donated took care of the pickup and install. This made the item being bid on something concrete, not the nefarious "one day". If the match was good the day would be an excellent item to bid on. Two day job, 50% off kind of thing would work out too. The only down side to it would be their idea of a day..........
But, for a cause such as Autism, where could anyone lose.
A couple years ago I built a lavish playhouse for Court Appointed Special Advocate-a rights for children org. I got the material donated from a couple yards and then donated my labor. I enlisted the local tech school's help and shop. Their class gave me several hours a day. A great opportunity for them to help their younger peers and learn something as well. The students enjoyed it as it was not their "real" class and I wasn't the usual instructor. CASA sold tickets at community events over the summer and held the drawing the end of August. They pulled in quite a haul with the raffle.
Best of luck.
