I was using my Makita recip saw today with both a Lenox gold blade for metal, and a Bosch blue demo blade for wood. Great blades that I got free by the manufacturers to get them into peoples hands. I have also gotten free utility knife blades from Irwin and Lenox, as well a a few 1 inch Bosh auger bits.
Has anyone else gotten these tools or anything similar for free?
For what it is worth, the recip saw blades have converted me from being purely a Milwaukee user!

I got a free 18 ga. brad nailer when I bought my Hitachi 15 ga. finish nailer. Also got a free drill from makita when I bought my impact driver. My makita worm drive saw came witha free toolbelt.
Paslode gives out free nail guns with a pallot order of nails.. Bostich gave me a free palm nailer when I bought their framing nailer.
The Irwin rep was pretty generous to crews from a long time.. Milwaukee gave me some free stuff as well for my recip and the Dewalt guy gave me some free batteries when I complained about their shoort life after dropping them..

I just got a free 10.8v bosch drill... I've never used the auger bit they sent, and I still haven't seen the recip blades. Got a free 18v circ saw when I bought a Brute drill once... somebody must have known it was free, and lifted it out of my truck...

And you say, "For what reason?"
And he says, "How?"
And you say, "What does this mean?"
And he screams back, "You're a cow
Give me some milk
Or else go home"
The recip blades are really nice extra thick demo blades. I would buy them if I had the chace. As for the auger, well you can't find the model # anywhere. I tried multiple searches.
WHen I installed for places that were also some sort of retail outlet for tools/supplies ect, ect................
It wasn't uncommon to get something thrown up on the counter with the usual "Give it a try, let us know what you think"
