Has anyone out there had any experience using fypon. I am consdering using it as part of a railing system for a deck. The client is seeking a raised panel look integrated into a cedar(5/4 x 4 spindle) railing.
Thanks

I've used Fypon products with good results.
There are some minor problems with it having to do with slightly imperfect shaping and backs which are not necessarily dead-flat. All due to the fact that it is poured or foamed to shape, not milled. Thes are relatively easy to correct.
I'm not clear on how you plan to use panels in this railing system. Their raised panels are only raised on one face, and the back is not meant to be seen (it's a little rough some times).
They have a couple of their own railing systems using their own posts and balustres. You might want to take a look at them.

*thanks JayI will be using them back to back so it sounds like I may have to mess with the back of the panels some to get them tight. the top and bottoms will be enclosed in the rail system and the sides will be"let in" to a spindle of 2x cedar stock.I did look at the rail systems but the cost is very prohibitive.Kevin D
