Built some new birch storage cabinets for the garage/shop.
Basically i am looking for a simple sealer recomendation, mabye a wax or lindseed oil. Something i can just rub on if possible. Not really in to doing the full on paint thing?
Any suggestions would be great.
Just got back from doing a couple of weeks work in Oregon. I have a hole new respect for u guys that frame out in the cold weather. Walking plate is not an option.

Look at their line of water based things.
Try finishing the cabinets with shelac, goes on easy, dries fast. You can give the cabs 2 or 3 coats in one day and your done.
Thanks dougu, shellac sounds good .
I was hoping to use something i could just rub on,like a wax . But obviosly it wouldn't protect very well.
IT,s just workshop storage so i wll probably end up sealing them with sawdust.

You could just apply wax but I think you'd find out you could apply shellac easier then you could the wax!
A lot of hard rubbing with that wax stuff.
