Hello
I need to find windows for a steel garage door. Dimension is 16 x 48.
These used to be available but now discontinued. Need the frames at least or complete units – need 5 of them.
Any leads appreciated.
I could set to buiilding frames from wood but would prefer aluminum or the snap frame plastic units so trying all sources first!
I am working with a garage door shop here in Denver for my doors but they’re stumped on these windows.
Thanks
Peter

What's the thickness of the doors. Commercial steel entry door suppliers have glazing frame kits. See if any stock sizes come close. Those I've used are to sandwich a 1-3/4" door. M/F frames slide together and fastened to themselves with counter sunk screws from the inside. Applied with a good grade of sealant, they are water tite.
*Could work. The door is 1 3/8 but I can find a way to take up the differenceThanks!Peter
*Eureka! These frames can be ordered in any size using 2" increments. They can be ordered to 1 3/8" spec but that's 4 weeks and a 50% upcharge. I'll work with the 1 3/4" stock size!Price about $150 per frame but since we can go to a 60" frame (or more) we drop to two windows in the 14 foot door. Cal - You Da Man!Peter
*Glad to be of help. One more thing, check w/glass supplier so it don't break the first time you raise that door. There's always something else to think about.
