Apologies for posting off-topic, but this is seem to be the most relevant forum.
The garbage disposer is leaking from the bottom. All the advice on the Internet says “disassemble the disposer and replace the flywheel seal,” but nobody says *how* to disassemble it.
I can’t find anything in the manual, either.
Any illustrations available? It’s an Insinkerator Badger 5.

I would not bother trying to fix a leaking garbage disposal, at least a bottom of the line model like Badger5.
If it's for a rental, replace with another Badger. It's a quick job since you won't have to replace the throat that's installed in the sink.
If it's for your own house, go for one of the SS models, depending upon how quiet you want it to be.
I'll second that.
How much is your time worth? Waiting/running/buying parts? Comeback hassle?
For a $79.99 disposer?
Pitch it, and if it's your house...upgrade to an Insinkerator Evolution model. Powerful and quiet.
Okay, you've convinced me; tomorrow it gets replaced. That's the way my husband wanted to handle it, and we're in a bit of a rush. My husband's company is relocating and they're sending somebody to inspect the house on Tuesday. Thanks!Janet

That particular problem on that piece of junk, can't be fixed economically. You've got water leaking on the motor, which will destroy it quickly.
I agree with the others -- not worth trying to repair, and likely you couldn't if you wanted to.
