Gentlemen / Ladies,
It’s been quite some time since my last visit, please forgive me. In my time of need I must turn to the experts. In short:
Frigidaire gas range ES400
Strong gas odor, but only while in use (oven).
I suspect a faulty part, but which one?
Thank you very much.

This odor--is it raw (unburned) gas or the odor of combustion gases?
I think it is combustion gases. But I'm not certain.
gas oven
is it propane or natural gas
If propane gas in cyl is low
was something spilled in oven
The gas is LP - the tank is full.
Nothing has spilled.
Additional info
I found a lot of soot under the flame spread.
when the oven burner is properly adjusted the blue flame at the burner should have just a little bit of yellow at the tips
the atr shutter on the end of the burner controls this & is adjustable
too much soot usually means the flame is too yellow ( not enough air )
The flame should be blue as dude says. If it's yellow, the primary air mixture can be adjusted.
The combustion gases may not be exausted fully by the hood--if, indeed you have an exhaust hood that gets turned on when the oven is firing.
The odor of raw propane is very distinctive, so you probably are correct in identifying the smell as combustion gases.
