Cut off saw, as in a masonry saw? Stihl. Or Husqvarna, if they make 'em.
Why? 'Cause you asked!
And 'cause either of these will be bulletproof.
If you meant cut off saw, as in chop saw for metal, no idea. Never had much call for one.

I have a Stihl 440 that works pretty well. Before that we had a Partner that was nothing but problems. I'd say you can't go wrong with Stihl or Husky.
I have had a Partner saw that I bought new about 16-17 years ago. It has seen alot of work and is still going strong.... so no complaints from me on Partner.
We have two gas cut off saws
The wacker has been broke since 2 wks after we got it. Needs complete rebuild because of mixing gas like the stihl. Love the stihl, cant kill it, used it at my old job, should of bought it first. The bad news is you've done exactly the right things to be exactly where you are today.

I sure like Stihl's chain saw. There's a deal on a reconditioned Hilti down at home depot. Any thoughts on Hilti? I'm leaning towards Stihl though.
Ordinarily, I would say you can't go wrong with a Hilti anything. But I never used any Hilti gas-powered tool. I have used a ton of Stihls, and never ran across one I couldn't love.
