Anyone have an opinion of the Advantium 120v ovens? I’ve read some reviews that they break constantly, but I’d like to know if the newest versions have solved earlier problems. I’m building a new small kitchen for myself and don’t have room for both a microwave and regular oven (I’m actually getting divorced and splitting my house in two (which I’m told is complete insanity) which gives me an excuse to build myself a brand new “man’s” kitchen without any female influences). Any advice on living next door to one’s ex is also welcome! Thanks.

Have you check with zone and can you have a 2 family house in that location?
.
A-holes. Hey every group has to have one. And I have been elected to be the one. I should make that my tagline.
No experience with the Advantium, but we bought a GE convection range a few years back and have been quite pleased with it. The quality seems to be much better than was "traditional" for GE appliances 30-odd years ago.
I have one of the 240v Advantium ovens and haven't had any problems. Also, just FYI, it really CAN do the things they claim using the combination of halogen and microwaves. Ironically, we seldom ever use it that way.
We have had one for about a year and it works just fine. We use it a lot. It has some sort of sensor that really works. Unlike virtually every other appliance, tool, car, etc., the controls are pretty intuitive. I installed it myself, so the installation is obviously pretty simple.

Saaaalute!
We've had one of the 120v ones for about 4 years and it's been fine. It works like they say it will and has never given us any problems. The fan is set up to exhaust to the outside rather then recirculate.
We even bought a 240v one but never installed it - probably for the next house....

Installed a 240V 4 years ago. Used every day, works perfectly, not a single repair. Particularly good for baked potatoes, salmon steaks, texas toast. Does a good steak (not excellent).
