I have a GE Profile series wall oven that came with the 2002 built home we recently purchased. The oven occasionally turns on by itself and will heat to various temperatures up to broil while displaying an error code of F7 and beeping. If I kill the power at the breaker and wait 30+/- minutes, the oven resets and the problem goes away. The oven is not under warranty.
Has anyone encountered this problem and, if so, what was the solution? I will call a service tech to fix it but I would like to be informed before I do so. Thanks.
Jim

I don't know if you mean you'll call someone out to the house to fix it, or you'll call GE's telephone service line. Before spending for a service call, I'd call the help line number in the manual and see what they say. It might be something you can fix yourself cheaply.
Also, many manufacturers put their service manuals on the internet.
