Hi all. I’ve got a question resulting from an observation I’ve made.
I’ve noticed after using GE silicone on marble or cultured marble, after cure the edges will pull off when trying to clean it by rubbing with a rag. Just little bits on top of the marble will come up with the pressure from the rubbing motion. I don’t know if this affects the quality of the seal, but I don’t like it since it definitely affects the finish. Does GE put out a relatively bad silicone? I’ve had an instance with GE where I bought some old silicone that never cured. Does Dap make a better silicone? I’ve just seen too much of the GE stuff that I don’t like it anymore. It could be silicone just has a hard time sticking to really smooth surfaces. Anybody have an opinion?

I like Siroflex.
thanks for you response. I guess there aren't many people around here who are caulk/sealant fanatics.
I could caulk all day, every day, and be happy. No stress, just simply filling holes and cracks. It simply does not get better. I wish I could specialize in caulking/sealing, just focus on that and do it for a living.
