It was 104 in the shade yesterday and over a 100 today I am glad the week is done. Suspose to be in the 90+ all next week. A little break would be nice.

If your in Pheonix Arizona those temps wouldn't mean a whole hell of a lot but if your in Montana then you have my sympathy.

Haha, I wish we had that weather in Phoenix. Today was about 110 and the weekend and next week aren't going to be much better. I'm counting down the days I trade oven type heat and brown desert to cool New England nights and big green trees. Man I can't wait!Jimmy W.
I feel for you man. Our highrst so far was 94, but August ain't here yet. we'll get ours too. Not looking forward to it though. My brain + his brawn = a perfect team
We're just finishing up the heat of the summer. Pretty soon the monsoons will blow in and the temps will fall but the humidity sets in, not that we get real humidity. I've found that summer here is pretty much like winter anywhere else. Everyone stays inside and you have to start your car 5 min before you leave, though not to heat them up and melt the snow, no, just so you can get in without sticking to your stearing wheel and seats, ugh. I wasn't built for this heat, gimme back the snow.Jimmy W.
gimme back the snow.
IMO those that build in the cold weather have it tougher. I had my little bout with building up north back in '89.
This "good ole boy from Texas" (boss's nickname for me) just couldnt hack it.
One day we were working and it started raining, then freezing, then ice was forming in my hair. I rarely complain but I asked the boss if this would be considered a rain out.
He just laughed and said "sure, if you want to go home for about 6 months. Its like this almost everyday here."
It wasnt long before I called my old boss and begged for my Texas job back.
SNOW! What is that? We never have snow in Texas.
The monsoons have been here for the past month and a half. Sure makes it hard to stay on schedule! My brain + his brawn = a perfect team
Sure you do. When I first drove out here almost two years ago I drove through a nice little blizzard that stretched from Oklahoma City all the way to the Texas-New Mexico border. Funny thing was everyone else was stuck in the ditches and elsewhere while us "northerners" just plugged right on in 4WH.
Honestly though the weather is definitely much easier here in PHX, but I miss trees, and seasons, and yes, snow. I've got one more month and then I'll be making that drive all over again. Weather should be a bit better this time, hopefully.Jimmy W.
Yeah, the Texas New Mexico border. I am in East Texas. We get snow about once every 6 years! The year it snowed in Laredo, we didn't get any of that! They brought us a truck load of snow from Galveston cause we didn't get any!
You headed back to MA when you leave there? My brain + his brawn = a perfect team
Yeah, it actually snowed here in Pheonix this past winter. Didn't stick down in the city, but I happened to be off-roading and hiking in the mountains that surround the valley and got caught in a 6 inch snowfall. Fun drive back, been a long time since I've had to deal with slick roads.
Yeah, moving back into the city. Can't wait, I feel like I've been gone for too long. My GF's in the process of finding a new job so we're really just waiting for that. I plan to drive back as soon as she gets word and she'll fly out shortly after. I'm hopping to get back into building when I get back, I've been working as a server here while going to school. Miss using my hands to work almost as much as I miss Boston.Jimmy W.
been working as a server....
I can imagine. I worked in the field with my husband for the first 8 years of business. Have been running the office end for 2 years now. I miss framing! But I would never trust my office to anyone again. got took for lots of money and that will never happen again!
I wish you all the luck in the world though! My brain + his brawn = a perfect team
