Glass block, LED brick path marker light source
I saw an ad for some glass blocks about the size of bricks, that had LEDs in them, that were for use as guide markers on the edge of brick paver walkways. Does anyone know of a source?

By considering things like energy-efficient mechanicals, window orientation, and renewable energy sources, homes can be evaluated to meet the energy codes. Here's what the IRC has to say.

I'm going to bet they don't
I'm going to bet they don't work very well ... specially for those in the cloudy NW in the winter! Glitzy products like that look good in concept, but the reality often bites. Since I don't know about this specific product personally, my comment wasn't specifically directed at it.
I understand your doubts about some of these products.
But at the same time there are new technologies coming down the pike that we should keep an open mind about.
I wouldn't buy that particular product for a few reasons.
One being storage compacity like you mentioned.
glass block query

There are some great products coming out right now as we speak.
I have solar strings in my back yard that I have had up for 2 years.
They work fine. The storage isn't all that great but i don't need big storage for these.
They come on automaticly every evening and shine until maybe 1 in the morning.
After 1 in the morning I'm asleep anyways.
I am going to intall a small solar system for lighting in my from yard.
No, I'm not looking for a free lunch.
I'm willing to sacrafice my lunch for today so I can build for tomorrow.
Most people think about thier stomaches and thier wallet and could care less about tomorrow.
small solar instalations
I have been working on a small solar lighting instalation for a while now.
Personally, I don't like the look of solar panels in or around my lighting.
You can move the panels and then run wire to your lighting.
It's low voltage and is not too complex.
I am saving up to build a 550 watt hour system for low voltage lighting.
There is a big jump in price when you build a somewhat larger system.
The seft contained smaller lights are very affordable in comparison.
