We are building a new home and I particularly like this install:
My DH can make the cabinet but we are stymied by the bowl/countertop and installation of those two items. Has anyone seen this product? or does anyone have suggestions about the component parts and install?

The bowl is called a "vessel" and they're very popular right now. Any bath showroom should have them on display with a variety of styles. They come in different colors of glass, etched glass, ceramic, stone, metals, etc. Most vessels are sold with the hardware to mount them to the countertop. You can even buy the hardware seperately (probably special order) and use any bowl for the sink as long as you can cut a hole in it. Be sure the countertop you select works with the hardware - not too thick.
A common problem we ran into with these: the vessel being mounted a little too far forward and/or the faucet reach a little too short means the faucet doesn't overreach the back edge of the bowl sufficiently, and water splashes behind the bowl when the water's running. Measure twice and measure again.

ck ebay... tons of em on there... the faucet installs exactly like a shower only or tub only faucet... not near as a big deal as they make it out to be... it just ain't that special.... ie: hard to do nor should it be much more expensive than standard install

Hi Shades,
That looks like a Decolav vessel.

I don't know who the faucet is by, but Kohler makes one similar to that.

Do a google search on wall mount faucets to find ones made by other companies, or consider the home made one described in:

Our local Lowe's has the Decolav vessel on display. In addition to the vessel, you would need Decolav's mounting ring and drain. It's a great looking sink.

The Decolav bowl looks perfect. Would we just have a local bath shop bid out the glass countertop? I assume they would know how to affix it to the wall and the side cabinet? Thanks for answering these rudimentary questions for us!
Hi Shades,
I would think the counter should be tempered glass, and will need to be drilled and cut to size to your specs before it is tempered. I've never had one made, but think I'd check with glass company first. A bath shop would also be able to have it made for you. You could have the glass supplier do the installation, as it's fairly easy to break tempered glass.
If you aren't locked into a specific size, there are glass bath counters available for vessel sinks. Try a google search on "glass counter" bath and you will get a lot of links. Those should come with installation instructions.

Curvet makes a lot of interesting glass sinks/vessels/countertops, and they do custom glass countertops too. The hardest part is getting the item shipped to you without breaking...http://www.curvetusa.com/index.php"A completed home is a listed home."
Here is a picture of mine from Ebay. It came with the mounting ring, and drain. was a little over 120USD. the local plumbing places wanted 500 for something similar.
