My friend, also a contractor is ready to install glass tile on a job, with modified thinset. My gut tells me epoxy may be the way to go. Anyone have experience with glass tile. It’s new to me but had a bad experience with a marble tile with mesh backing that was very smooth and shiny, that job came undone and had to be re-done with epoxy thinset.

If you check the archives around here you'll find many referrals to http://www.johnbridge.com for tiling inquiries...
There's a reason for it - lots of useful info over there. Just do a search on "glass tile" and have at it...
Good luck!
