Try doing a search under the term, "conservatories" or "conservatory". They are generally more fine and delicate affairs but I have seen some with a more raw timbered styling.
Excellence is its own reward!
Thanks, I am looking for a simple but robust construction style to to replace an aluminium frame that got wrecked before I put the glass into it after moving it.

Be careful what you ask for. I have a 14 year-old sunroom made by The Sunroom Company (since bankrupt, and I now know why.) More than half the double paned custom made windows are fogged due to shot seals. (The sunroom is all glass, save a short kneewall in one corner.)
Were we able to do it over, We would build a stick framed room and liberally sprinkle it with large expanses of stock windows. It would make keeping the glass clean much easier, as well as lowering maintenance overall.
Incidently, ours is made of redwood. It has stood up well, but if you opt for a wooden frame, I recommend either paint or a solid stain. Without the added protection, the exposed wood will weather quickly, especially on the southern exposure.
In your plans, ensure you have some method to knock down the sun during the period from about April to September. This morning the temperature pegged the thermometer at 120 before I opened the windows. We have sunscreens for the roof (densely woven screens) that I must put up or take down 4 times a year (1st put up lower half, then upper half a month later, then take down upper half about September, then lower half in november.) It can be a pain, even with the closable soffit vents.
On the plus side, it's my DW's favorite room.
