I just quoted flooring a livingroom. Solid oak t+g 3/4″. The boards have been climitasing in situ for a few weeks so the moisture content should be down where it belongs. There is under floor heating and the client wants the boards fixed down with a special epoxy adhesive (instructions on tub are vague). Haven’t done this before. Is this recommended? Tips and techniques gratefully accepted.

" special epoxy adhesive"
Are you sure that it is an epoxy. I don't think that epoxy would work very well for a floor.
What is the brand and name of the product?
.
A-holes. Hey every group has to have one. And I have been elected to be the one. I should make that my tagline.
Yes. It's definately epoxy. Comes in a large tub with an activator mixed 18 to 1. It's a rubbery substance. I can't remember the brand name. You got me thinking though - I'll find out the brand name and look it up on the web.
Guy I know set his floor straight down onto concrete with the same stuff. Great job. Feels much more solid under foot, better than a floating floor.
There's a picture of a parkette floor on the tub so it's obviously used for laying that stuff. I just want to know if it's ok above underfloor heating.
" Comes in a large tub with an activator mixed 18 to 1."Most epoxies are more like 1:! to 1:4 Polyesters (bondo) is also a 2 part system that has a large ratio between the two parts. And there are 2 part urathane paints, don't know about ahesives. And I know that those are rubbery when cured. And mositure cure urathanes are commonly used flooring. There might be flexable epoxies, but most of them that I am familar with fairly stiff..

Thanks,
I don't think A-hole applies to you at all!
You haven't seen some of my threads on AFCI's or GFCI's..
