I’m thinking about using some PVC pipe to reinforce a box made of Azek. Any reason that PVC wouldn’t fuse to Azek using Azek adhesive? PVC is PVC, right?

Lots of reasons why it might not work, but none I can think of that would justify not giving it a try.
I'd be inclined to try the PVC pipe adhesive, though. Work hard at getting solid contact between the workpieces.
it will...
clean the PVC glaze 1st........
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming
WOW!!! What a Ride!
Forget the primal scream, just ROAR!!!
My neighbor does that all the time, glues pvc pipe to Azek. He makes some kind of bird feeders with them. I haven't actually seen the bird feeders yet, I cut the azek and now cut the pipe too for him. Half hours work cutting, he vaccums ,the stuff is dusty. Then we finish off a few Yeunglings ( did I spell it right).

Yeunglings...thats the good stuff,..my son just smuggled a couple of cases back to Colorado on the airplane as 2nd bag...sweet move..Nobody gets in to see the wizard...not nobody...not no how!
Last week at a buddy's house was told to grab a beer outta the fridge. Got a bottle of Miller out of a boxed pack and sat down.
Hit it a few times and said 'Man, when I was younger I didn't care for Miller but this is really good.'
Then saw the label and someone had mixed a Yeungling in the case.
