I’m being given a late Christmas gift of a Kushlan “Enforcer” portable concrete mixer. This has a capacity of two 80 pound sacks. This is plenty of capacity to accomodate my needs……if it works. Does anyone have experience or knowledge of this particular machine? If not, other observations or thoughts would also benefit. Our particular concern regards the mixing vanes. They are a molded part of the drum which is a polyethelene plastic. They are not metal vanes that are attached as one would see on a steel drum machine. I want the machine to do a through job of mixing dyed concrete at a mid-range slump.
Thanks,
Jeff

Looks like 24 hours and 39 minutes to me.
The plastic drums are a real plus but they do have a few weaknesses. holding the mixing paddles is one of them they tend to get lose and then break. her'e's where less than perfect housekeeping helps. don't get every last bit of cement from the drum leave some to dry and it will strengthen the joint.
Looks like there might be some useful information in this thread.

Thanks, I'd already found that one. I am hoping that someone has had personal experience with the Enforcer (what a name!).Jeff
I recently received an Enforcer, probably mixed 10 80lb bags of mortar pre-mix. Two bags is optimistic in terms of drum volume. One bag at a time is great. I have no complaints and have not seen anything in the price range that is close to equal. Keep in mind that it is pretty low so you will probably need something to dump the mixed product into. I use a plastic mortar mixing tub. It suits my application very well.
Thanks very much for the feedback. This is what I'm looking for.Jeff
Are not "good" and "portable" oxymorons when discussion cement mixers?
