Good Quality Chimney Sweep Brush/Attachments
After spending too much money for a sweep job once a year…it probably should be more frequent as I have a wood burning heat stove with a 6″ diameter flue pipe.
Looking for a good quality system. I’m really unsure of what some of the gizmos online have to offer, but some look kinda cheap. Any suggestions?
Considering these local guys charge $150 for 20 minutes of work I’m willing to spend that much or more. They mentioned theirs was German made. Any ideas?
Some pics of what they used last year.

I do my own once a year with nothing fancier than a round steel chimney brush which attaches to multiple fiberglass ram rods. All of it is available at our local hardware store. It takes about 15 minutes to do.
My chimney has a telescoping slip joint. I remove the three screws holding the chimney to the stove and slip the chimney upward for a couple of inches. Then I climb a ladder and remove the screws fastening the single wall chimney to the triple-wall part that projects through the roof.
I carry the entire single wall chimney (about 12' long) outside so I don't make a mess and sweep it. Reassemble in reverse order.
When the chimney's open I use a flashlight to check up into the triple wall portion. I've never had to sweep this (no creosote in there because it's all condensed by the time the smoke gets to that level). While I haven't had to sweep it yet, I always check just to be sure.
