A couple hundred bucks for the tools? Probably well worth it, wish I had 'em myself.
Now that your Wirsbo certified maybe you can explain something I found today. I removed some Wirsbo fittings and found a white build up or corrosion on the inside. It's only 3 years old. We have town water and don't usually see any corrosion in copper. Any ideas? I'm concerned that in a few years my hundred year plumbing will look like my arteries. Ted
sounds like lime scale - percipitate
Welcome to the Taunton University of Knowledge FHB Campus at Breaktime. where ... Excellence is its own reward!
It'd be the a first for lime scale - it's fluffier than scale. It looks like corrosion on a battery terminal - white (no taste, don't ask how). I'll take a picture tomorrow and post it. TedPS Is the Wirsbo connection better than the crimp rings or just different? The Wirsbo in my new (used) house has been at 120 psi for 3 years with no leaks. I installed a regulator to save the appliances and found the crud on the fittings. Used crimp rings for the connections.
Congratulations. Sometimes suppliers will give you a small discount if your certified, or so I have been told. No matter, either way it is a feather in your cap.
