I’m seeking information on the new granite counter tops that can be installed over existing counter tops. We saw a very brief segment on HGTV on these last week.
Would appreciate both pro and con feedback.
Thank You!

Frank-
I don't think there's anything "new" or "unique" to what you saw (I saw it too). It's just a supplier doing something different. The material is the same- the sizes are just different to accomodate the existing countertop dimensions.
I'd just check with some local suppliers to see who's willing to do it for you.

Thank you for responding. It was actually the first time I saw it and thought it might be something a little more pracaticle that we might use.
Again, I apppreciate the info.

Actually, I dont believe that it is actually granite..........it may be a manufactured product similiar to Stilestone and others.
I believe it was only 1/2" thick or so.
I'm curious how the finish the ends up against a slide in range etc.
They always seem to leave out the details when the show these things!
