I just came back to a Granite Kitchen Counter I had purchased/ installed. I was shocked to find a dirty white seam (which does not match the color of the Granite) going through the middle of the kitchen counter where the sink and faucet are (in line with the division between the double sink and through where the middle of the faucet sits). There was also a dime size “filler” in the same non matching “dirty” white color on the edge of the counter where the seam is. There is an additional seam (in white which does not match the Granite)on a back splash as well. There is also what appears to be a little adhesive residue on the corner of our the new cook top which I suspect the counter guys spilled n wiped (though not well enough). (The cook top is out of the box new).
I figure they broke the slab and installed it anyway. I think this is unacceptable but I want to make sure I am not being to picky.
What do you think and what should I do?

Have it replaced.
Friend had his kitchen redone, took three
tries to get counter top right. 1St time the
had square edge instead of specified bullnose...
If your not hppy now it won't get any better over time!

If the goop can be easily removed from the cooktop, I would take care of it myself and not mention it. But if it damaged the cooktop, then they need to make that right.
Reject the countertop. Don't pay. Tell the manager of the shop that the joint is the wrong color and there is a ding in it. Take pictures.

Its a reject for sure! You should be looking for the seams not having them stand out! Should have been made with epoxy, sounds like they used caulk.
